The implementation of KALAHI-CIDSS in Eastern Visayas had to quickly create innovative modalities to adjust to the challenges in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This approach trained communities to develop a culture of preparedness and proactive disaster management.
